Scientific Assembly Discipline Chair

RESPONSIBLE AND  REPORTS TO: President and Scientific Assembly Coordinator Board Liaison - Past President

TERM OF OFFICE: One year, may be appointed for a second term; Additional terms must have Board approval.


A. Serve as a non-voting member on the ASCLS -MI Board of Directors.

B. Assist board and committee chairs with information in the discipline represented.

C. Adhere to the Bylaws and General Operating Policies of this Society.

D. Submit written reports for each ASCLS -MI Board Meeting and a comprehensive report for the Annual Membership Meeting.

E.  Attend all ASCLS -MI Board Meetings and ASCLS -MI Annual Membership Meeting.


1. Submit suggestions for possible speakers and/or current topics in your discipline.

A. Scientific Assembly Coordinator and/or Convention Committee Chair

B. Respond to requests from Regional and National Scientific Assembly Coordinators.

2. Send copies of all correspondence to ASCLS -MI Scientific Assembly Coordinator.

3. Provide or solicit expertise in specialty areas when requested.

4. Submit articles on discipline to Newslinks and website
